War, Why Not a Game?

As the blood spilled, carelessly as if a child tipped over a cup out milk. Pain enveloped the being and through the swollen eyes and pools of tears, witnessed the death of loved ones to forever haunt his seeing.

To loose security in an instant, in the blink of an eye her world is forever changed and past innocence becomes every so distant. She cannot make any sense of this, what causes another human being to act with such dispassionate unattachement, and vicious relentlessness.

Was it from lack of love shown to him as an adolescent, it has to be deeper, maybe from when he was an infant. In his eyes a  blaze to look inside as he ripped away their lives, they appear to reveal a deep intense emptiness.

War, as the bodies began to pile with no discrimination for if the murdered was a father, a woman, or even the most precious little children. It doesn’t matter to the gun of the shooter, for bullets have no name. Once your hit, your hit, all one in the same experience the dominoe affect of an unfortunate pain.

War, causes suffering,  but also generates profit. The one’s who will not partake in the killing, see killing as the only option. As money and power are taken not earned with no concern to the little girl who family has been beaten and burned to ashes,  leaving her to journey alone in this world, an orphan who pain and suffering has adopted.

War, is a strange thing. Honor is bestowed upon those who have taken lives in the name of what is “right” but the medals they earn can’t help them sleep with peace in the dead of night. So as they have taken life, also apart of their life has been taken away. This is very sad in deed, considering it does not have to be this way.

Just a thought instead of fighting and dying for what you believe is right, what if instead we played a great game where warriors meet on a battlefield but at the end, life still remains. We watch something like this happen every Sunday just to be entertained. For there is no purpose or true point to watching grown men play, running back and forth tossing the good ol pigskin for the win.

I know that sounds far fetched but just think what if. We gave meaning to something that is so truly meaningless. We could save the children of the future, show a better way, where gruesome violence isn’t the answer nor is it okay. To cease  unnecessary blood shed we can heal our humanity, but if we continue on this path all that lies ahead is more unfortunate tragedies.
